Air Load Break Switch (ALBS)

LKE Power manufacture an environmentally friendly Load break Switch.

With the current concern regarding the use of SF6 in the electrical environment the ALBS provides a solution for this concern, as it is using air as the interrupting medium for switching.

The ALBS load break switch is designed for 6 kV ~ 24 kV and 630 Amps applications.
 
Mounted within a switchboard enclosure, the ALBS are suitable for indoor or outdoor applications depending on the construction of the switchboard.

The ALBS is a three phase air �puffer� load break switch which uses compressed air (self compressing) as an arc quenching medium.

The LCA-A is commonly used for applications within prefabricated mobile or underground substations where its reduced dimensions and weight of the cubicles allows for ease of handling and prompt installation.

It is commonly used with HRC fuses as protection for transformers with ratings up to 800 KVA.
